Parallel and Contrapuntal video.





I have used slow and romantic themed music as I thought it was easy to find videos which were parallel and contrapuntal to the song. I've used videos connoting love, family and relationships which are parallel to the emotion filled song and I have used videos of violence aggression, abuse and partying which are contrapuntal. This is because they are the total opposite to what you would expect to see alongside slow romantic music.

Mise-En Scene

The actors costume shows his authority and importance in the movie. His smart attire suggests he is either a business man or someone of high significance. His broad shoulders show confidence. He appears to be well groomed and dressed showing he takes pride in his appearance. The lighting is overall quite dark. This increases tension and and creates an uneasy atmosphere. The dark corners surrounding the frame look as though something is beginning to close in and pinpoint him. The characters positioning is quite central. This shows he is the most important character at this moment in the film. The characters facial expressions shows concern yet confidence. He appears to be slightly nervous as we can see the light reflecting of the sweat on his forehead. The actors in the background look as if they belong in the military. They are all standing in form  as if they are awaiting orders from someone higher than them. The setting looks like it is an underground bunker. It looks like it...

Star Persona Video Feedback And Learner Response

Devesh WWW: The actual makeup transformation was really good. The makeup looked professional, especially the eye makeup. The background and the seat used fitted in well with the glamorous look created as the wallpaper and chair were both classy. The speed of the video wasn't too fast or too slow, it was just right. The video didn't become boring because it wasn't longed out. EBI: The video could have been improved if at the end the character created let down her hair, so that it fitted with the whole glamour look. Personally I don't think the music was quite right. It gave off a sci-fi feel which doesn't match with the persona being created. The lighting could have been improved as it is quite hard to see the little details, especially when she is doing her eye makeup. Deandre WWW: The makeup idea is very unique.
