Camera shots, angles and movement


The video I have created explores a number of different camera shots, angles and movement. I have used a school setting as it was convenient and it was easy to create different shots which were clear to identify. I have labelled each shot so it is clear to see the differences between shots and I have cut them together so they begin to tell a story. I have put music behind the video and removed all audio from the videos to make it of a higher quality and to make the video more interesting to watch. In total I have explored around 14 different kinds of shots which all are used to create and portray different things and meanings.

Make-up Transformation

Mermaid/ Zombie Makeup  Transformation I have chosen to do a ripped mermaid make-up effect transformation. I saw this idea online and thought it was unique instead of creating a simple makeup look. I've used premiere pro to create a time-lapse video. This video shows the process from start to end on how to create this horrifying look. I sped up all my clips so that the viewers could see a quick video on how to create a scary Halloween look. Backing music has been added so the video doesn't become boring. The beginning of my video shows the end look so people can see what was being created. This clip and the last clip have been slowed down instead of sped up so that the viewers can see the exact details of the makeup look.

Film Noir Research

The term "film noir" comes from the French term for "black film." Film noir movies include many different  genres  of movies, such as  gangster  movies, police movies, and  detective  movies. Film noir movies are often shot at night, and the stories often take place in bars,  casinos, and cheap/rough hotels. This makes film noir movies look very dark, because the scenes are shot at night, or inside dark places. Film noir movie  scenes  often have a lot of shadows. There are also often dark shadows across the actors face. All of the shadows and darkness make the film noir movies feel  mysterious  and stressful. Characters in the Film Noir genre are often greedy, jealous and/or out for revenge. Story lines are usually based around a robbery, fraud, blackmail or murders.
