Media Awards Task

write mini-reviews of your THREE favourite films and to post them up onto your coursework blog.

Click

Click was my favourite film of the whole night. The use of cinematography was amazing and the editing looked professional. The use of slow mo at the beginning when the 'click' made the film instantly grabbing and made me want to carry on watching, also the slow mo used when the group of 5 were walking up built up tension. The sparks during the gunshots made the whole film seem realistic. The use of many different scenes stopped the film from becoming boring because we didn't know what was coming next.

Out Of Mind

The narrative of Out Of Mind was in my opinion the best. The story line of a girl being trapped in some kind of unknown bubble made the film intriguing. The main actress was really good at performing and looked comfortable in front of a camera making the whole film a lot more enjoyable to watch. The use of multiple scenes in such a small amount of time kept the film moving and avoided it from dragging on. Starting at the hospital helped us as an audience get an idea of what had happened and as the narrative developed we were able to understand the purpose of this scene even more.

Euphoria

One of my other favorites was Euphoria. The main aspect of the film that I think made it high quality was the voice overs. This is because we could see an established narrator, who effectively told the story whilst building up tension. The camera work was very effective as the different shots helped us see the story clearly.
